Within Clinical Templates there are many different 'Field Types' that are located on the left hand side of the 'Template Editor' screen. To add any fields to the template click and drag it from the left hand side to the correct position on the template.

This article will explain the different options available for the 'Yes No Type.' When it has been added to the template a menu will appear on the left hand side of the screen which you can see in the image below. You are able to set up different properties against this field.

Name - Putting a name here gives this text box a title on the template. Names in field types also relate to the Group Field Type.

Required - Switching this option on will make this a mandatory selection within the template.

Show Inline - Switching this option on will control if the text box will display on the same line as the other text.

Require reason if 'Yes' - If this is turned on and 'Yes' is chosen as an option in the template, the user is required to enter a reason as to why they are answering 'Yes.'

Require reason if 'No' - If this is turned on and 'No' is chosen as an option in the template, the user is required to enter a reason as to why they are answering 'No.'

Key Question - This field will allow for advanced custom reporting

Create Flag - If this option is on when selecting your lookup in the template then a flag will be triggered.

Reporting - This option allows the text field to pull information directly from the database.


Create Flag

When the 'Create Flag' option is turned on you are presented with the screen below. You have to choose an option from the drop down beside where it says 'When value'


You can choose when value 'is' or when value 'isn't' yes or no.

After you have chosen your Yes or No you then set the type of flag that should be triggered when this value is selected.
